Resuscitating a blog, or in other words, checking in

It has been a year since I’ve posted on this blog. A whole year.

I have myriad of excuses, I assure you. WordPress requires a VPN in China and sometimes, it’s just not worth the hassle. Last fall I began teaching literature courses at my university, and that indeed has taken up a great deal of my time. I’m spending more time with friends who live here where I live, instead of internet people who I will most likely never meet; yes, it’s all true.

When I moved to rural China, I had high hopes for this blog indeed. But really I’ve been so bad. However, the month of August is blank for me. Mostly I’m preparing for my literature classes next semester (Women writers & British literature) and also preparing to take on a new role as one of the directors at my school. But maybe, just maybe I’ll be able to squeeze in a few posts, dust off some drafts I’ve had for ages. I don’t know. Anything is possible. 13909274_10153869396982992_3491853689080345277_o.jpg
